Savanna Todd Reunites with Father!

This video clip of Savanna Todd is an inspirational first step toward the reunification of parentally abducted children and their victim parent. We are very happy that Harris Todd was able to reunite with his daughter.

  1. This is nice to hear. She clearly wants a relationship with him and that’s all he ever wanted and all he could ever ask for.

  2. Tom says:

Wow! Last year, my mom predicted that this daughter would eventually establish a relationship with her father, in spite of her making statements (up to that point) which implied that she didn’t want anything to do with him. I can’t believe how accurate that foresight proved to be.

This reminds me of a Taiwanese entertainer, Lai Pei Xia (aka Tammy Darshana Lichtenberg), who was born to an American father (who was stationed at a military base in Taiwan in the early 1960s) and a Taiwanese mother in 1963. Lai’s father was fighting in Vietnam at the time of her birth, and he later abandoned her mother altogether and returned to the US, so Lai was raised by her mother without meeting her father for the first 20 years of her life. During that time, she assumed that her father was up to no good. However, in 1983, she worked up the courage to visit her father in the US for the first time, and she was surprised to find how loving he and his family (consisting of her maternal grandmother and her half-brother) were toward her. To this day, Lai has maintained a great relationship with her father and his other relatives.

I hereby congratulate this daughter for exceeding my expectations by working up the courage to meet her father and try to establish a relationship with him, just like that Taiwanese entertainer did. I can only hope that this father-daughter relationship will turn out as great as that of the aforementioned Taiwanese entertainer with her father.

      Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing the case of Lai Pei Xia. I have never heard of it before.

I too am happy for the father in the case. What appears to not have occurred in the sentencing is that the defendant never apologized to the victim other than pleading guilty. What is disappointing is that the daughter is also not admitting her mother’s guilt in the media for the crime of parental kidnapping. She continued to wrongfully portray her mother as a victim. That said, in reunifying with her birth father — most of us would conclude that she has exonerated her birth father of the mother’s false allegations.

The Australian Media never really got this case right. They continue to minimize the plight of parental kidnapping victims and sensationalize the act of convicted parental kidnapper.

We hope this is a new beginning for everyone.
