Parental Kidnappers are Serious Flight Risks
In next several weeks, Dorothy Lee Barnett’s Attorney Russell W. Mace III will go to Federal Court and ask for bail for Dorothy Lee Barnett. He’ll argue that she is no danger to the community and wants to tell her story before the World. Even though she feels she was wronged by the Family Court that attempted to protect Savanna from her by awarding sole custody to her former spouse, he’ll argue that she is no longer a serious flight risk.
We don’t see it that way. We compare the World Traveler Dorothy Lee Barnett like the character Bodhi, the bank robber and surfer in the 1991 Movie Point Break played by Patrick Swayze. Bodhi and his gang cleverly evaded law enforcement and the FBI for many years like Dorothy Lee Barnett did. When FBI Agent Johnny Utah played by Keanu Reeves finally tracks down and arrests Bodhi — in the final scene which was filmed at Bells Beach in Victoria, Australia, Bodhi tells Utah, “you know there is no way I can handle a cage“. We don’t think Dorothy Lee Barnett can handle that cage either. That’s why we’d like to see her plead guilty, admit she was wrong, apologize and let Harris and Savanna move on with their lives as Father and Daughter. That’s the way it should have been 20 years ago. Dorothy Lee Barnett, her family and her supporters have had 20 years to come forward to do the right thing and DID NO — please spare everyone especially Harris and Savanna having to listen to her same delusional story again and again.
