Recovering Parents – Mark Baskin and Debbie Baskin

For any victim parent or left-behind parent from a parental kidnapping crime, there are two horrible nightmares, the number one being the day your child is parentally kidnapped and the second the day you hear your children aren’t ready for a reunification yet. Among Family Abduction Survivors, they started their journey from the group of Searching Parents to the group of Recovering and Reunified Parents.

I would like to see the Jennifer Bunting and Jonathan Bunting get the courage to seek reunification with their biological parents. Their parents, Mark Baskin and Debbie Baskin have patiently waited 20 years for this day. In addition, there are thousands of searching parents that are watching this case and hoping that their day will soon come that they too can locate their children like Mark and Debbie Baskin have. The searching parent would give anything in the world to be in Mark and Debbie Baskin’s shoes today, because at least Mark and Debbie know where their kids are.

When Jennifer and Jonathan Bunting do get the courage to seek reunification with their parents, they may not realize it but they will significantly impact the lives of thousands of searching parents. What these searching parents need right now is to be given hope that they should continue to search for their children, and right now the two adults this this world that can help them are Jennifer and Jonathan.

Here’s a link to a video of Mark and Debbie Baskin and their plea with their children to seek reunification with their parents. I imagine for Mark and Debbie, for now, a simple hello by their children Jennifer and Jonathan would be fantastic start.
